MLB hitting coaches show up to the clubhouse early the entire season, but Tommy Hutton says that may not turn out to be the case with Barry Bonds.
"I have a hard time believing a guy like Barry Bonds, if the team is 15 games out in August, is going to show up at 1 o'clock and look at video," Hutton said during the debut of weekly-appearance on The Andy Slater Show.
What Did Tommy Say?
- If Stanton stays healthy "You just write it down, he's going to hit 40 homeruns."
- On who should win Marlins' closer job: "There's no adrenaline (during exhibition games), so I don't think you can make a decision in Spring Training on a closer unless you've already decided that."
- On Tony Clark's idea to shut clubhouses down to media: "It's an awful idea... Players at times all around baseball can become too sensitive to what is written and what is said about them."
