A man was arrested on the campus on Florida International University while in possession of a loaded gun.

According to the exclusively-obtained police report, Brandon Reid, 24, was at the University Towers building on Thursday. He was allegedly asking students if they wanted to gamble.

Reid, 24, is facing a felony count of possession of a weapon on school property.

An anonymous caller tipped off police that Reid and another man were walking around campus.

When officers arrived, they asked Reid if he had any weapons on him.

Reid told the police that he had a weapon in his backpack.

The arresting officer opened his bag and found a Smith and Wesson 9MM semi-automatic pistol. A loaded magazine was inserted in the gun.

Reid was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
