The Miami Marlins were forced to make an unscheduled stop in Atlanta on Wednesday night.
After taking off from Miami International Airport, the landing gear on the team's Delta plane never went up, a source says.
Instead of continuing to their original destination, New York, the plane was forced to land in Atlanta.
Once landing safely in Atlanta, the team changed planes and continued on to the Big Apple.
While the landing gear issue made the flight a little noisy, there was never any panic, a source says.
Marlins' catcher AJ Ellis called the stop an inconvenience.
The Marlins start a three-game series against the Mets on Friday.
