Center Willie Reed is behind bars just two days after officially signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Reed, 27, was busted in Miami on a battery charge late Saturday night. It stems from an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to the arrest report, Reed and his wife got into an argument on their balcony after she told him she wanted a divorce.

Reed told his wife to leave behind everything he bought her and then grabbed her purse, the report says.

Police say Reed's wife held onto the purse, fell to the ground, and was dragged until the purse strap broke.

Reed then grabbed his wife by the shirt causing it to tear, cops say.

After making it down to the lobby of the apartment, Reed's wife decided to go back upstairs to get her children. Reed allegedly came from behind and grabbed her by the hair trying to take a child away, the report says.

Police say when she let go of one child, Reed twisted her arm and wrist causing her to kneel to the ground.

Reed's wife then grabbed a candle and stuck him in the back of the head with it, cops say.

Eventually, she made it back down to the lobby and police were called. He also said he touched her hair.

Cops say Reed's wife had red marks on her left wrist, right bicep, and the right side of her chest and back. There was also noticeable swelling on her left foot.

Reed told police he never put his hands on her, but did admit to grabbing her purse and shirt.

After playing 71 games for the Miami Heat last season, Reed declined his player option and became a free agent.

The 6-foot-11 center's deal with the Clippers was for a reported $1.5 million.

Reed bonded out of jail on Sunday morning.
