The Miami Marlins are hoping their makeover off-the-field is more successful than the one on it so far.

After losing 98 games in 2018, Derek Jeter and the Marlins are making big changes.

They’re getting a new logo.

According to multiple industry sources who have seen the new look, there is a different M and more blue.

An actual marlin on the logo remains, but has been adjusted.

This fashion change is working in concert with other changes being made to the ballpark and the in-game experience.

The new ownership group appears to be trying to distance themselves from the Jeffrey Loria era as much as possible.

It will be interesting to see if the logo change will do anything to merchandise sales.

The Marlins are planning to make an official announcement in November, sources say.

The high school where Dwyane Wade’s son plays is currently looking for a head basketball coach.

The athletic director of American Heritage tweeted on Tuesday that the school was looking to fill the position.

The school is home to rising star Zaire Wade, son of Heat superstar Dwyane Wade.

Zaire is a junior.

His father said one of the reasons he intends to retire after this season, is to be able to watch his son’s games.

The younger Wade has attracted national attention in viral videos that show the lefty does have game.

I contacted the school to inquire why there is an opening and if Wade is at all connected to the job vacancy.

I have yet to receive a response to my inquiry.

Heritage has just over a month to fill the vacancy. Their first game is scheduled in late November.
