Man riding bicycle in North Miami charged with DUI

DUI on a bicycle. That's exactly what a Miami man was charged with early Monday morning.

Yeiran Ramirez, 33, was riding his bicycle near a traffic crash at 13490 Memorial Highway in North Miami just after midnight when an officer says he noticed Ramirez didn't have white or red lights on his bike, the report says. The officer says Ramirez "nearly fell off his bicycle" when he walked up to him and told him to back away from the scene, the report says.

After the officer smelled alcohol coming from Ramirez's breath, he was given roadside tests, which he failed, the report says. Ramirez was arrested and taken to the police station where he blew a .186 and .177, the report says. The legal limit in Florida is .08.

Ramirez admitted to police that he drank "multiple Budweisers" before riding his bike, the report says.

According to Florida law, a bicycle is considered a vehicle.

Ramirez bonded out of jail on Monday afternoon.
